North Carolina G.S. 132-1 broadly defines public records. G.S. 132-6 requires inspection at reasonable times and copies as promptly as possible after lawful fees. G.S. 132-6.2 limits ordinary uncertified-copy charges to actual reproduction cost, allows a special service charge for extensive assistance, and does not require creation of a nonexistent compilation.

Getting Home After Robeson Release
Robeson County SEATS is a reservation-based public transportation service. The county states that routes operate Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., reservations are due by noon on the preceding day, and the public fare is $3 per boarding. No source confirms a jail stop or an on-demand detention-center pickup.
That distinction matters after an unplanned evening or weekend release. SEATS may be a general travel option only when its route, booking terms, and hours fit the trip. Confirm service directly before relying on it. A release record can prove when custody ended, but it does not guarantee transport, gate assistance, or a ride.
Robeson Pretrial Release Alternatives
The Robeson County Offender Resource Center includes Pretrial Services. The county says qualified defendants may be reviewed for pretrial release or electronic house arrest. That is a supervised court path while the case remains open, not completion of the sentence and not proof that release processing finished.
Use the county jail release record to confirm the physical exit. Use the court record for conditions and the case outcome. A referral, interview, bond amount, or eligibility review does not by itself show that a named person left the jail.
Robeson Release or Relocation
Robeson’s documented jail crowding widens the search geography. NC Health News reported that on June 1, 2026, the jail held 508 people in 410 designed spaces, while 53 Robeson-connected people were housed in five other county jails or state prison as safekeepers. The jail averaged 123 percent of capacity in early 2026.
Those figures do not prove anything about one person, but they show why disappearance from the local catalog can mean relocation. Ask “released or relocated?” Request the destination, transfer date, and releasing or receiving authority. Then search the destination system. Robeson County maintains a named Offender Resource Center and local reentry contact. The office is at 120 West Sixth Street in Lumberton and posts weekday hours from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The county identifies Angelina Phillips as the reentry contact, with office telephone 910-608-2118 and mobile 910-827-9073.
This office can aid navigation after release. It does not prove that a person left custody, that all holds cleared, or that supervision ended. Confirm the event through Police2Citizen, NCDAC, VINE, the court, or the source record first. Then treat the local office as a support route.
Legend Road Release Systems
Several Robeson custody offices are close in space but separate in law. The Sheriff’s Office detention center is at 122 Legend Road, next to the main office at 120 Legend Road. Lumberton Correctional Institution is at 75 Legend Road. The street name does not tell which release record controls.
A county detention booking belongs first to Police2Citizen and the sheriff. A state prison term belongs to NCDAC Offender Public Information and state records. The facility page proves where an institution stands; the person’s source record proves release, transfer, supervision, or concluded status. Choose the search by the custodian, not by the shared road.
Robeson CRV Release and Supervision
The Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation program is an NCDAC response to technical supervision violations. NCDAC describes an intensive 90-day period and says two such periods may occur before probation revocation. Completion is designed to return the participant to community supervision.
Leaving the CRV setting therefore does not usually mean full discharge from every duty. Search NCDAC under Active Probationer-Parolee and inspect the status and office. A predicted end of the period is not an actual release. A person can leave confinement yet remain supervised, and a later violation can create a new custody episode.
